Did you know that coping installed without steel pins at each corner joint could eventually come apart. Over time, pressure on the joints can weaken the joints causing them to give. This is why we reinforce the joints with steel pins along with traditional concrete footings. When we install a coping lot with gravel we spread a non-selective herbicide to kill any undergrowth and lay 6 mil black plastic over the grave before we put the gravel down. These steps help to ensure that the lot will maintain its appearance longer and keep undergrowth out.
